ABSTRACT
This article aims at reporting the study on the forms of students’critical thinking and creativity in developing instructional materials through Discovery Learning Model in the course of Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development. The study was of a descriptive qualitative type with the subjects of thirty seven students of batch 2017 in the English Language Education Department in University of Adi Buana Surabaya Indonesia. The data was students group activities and ideas reflected in their assigments. They were collected through non-participant observation, documentation, note taking and recording, as well as interviews, which was then analysed through separation and connection techniques. The result showed that the implementation of Discovery Learning Model in the course of Curriculum and Instructional Materials Development enhanced the students’ critical thinking and creativity in developing instructional materials.

ABSTRACT
A common problem in teaching translation is assessing students‘ translation result. This is caused by the standard of translation competence and instruments for assessing translation result. This study is aimed at presenting a method for assessing students’ translation result by reconstruct the translation competence criteria then relate it with two assessment methods; rubric and assessment grading. These methods have been applied to university students of English education department when they take to Translation subject. In doing so, the peer assessment is devised to help the students see the results of other students’ translation result and find out the feedback.

ABSTRAK
Axial Fluks Permanent Generator Magnet (AFPMG) merupakan generator magnet permanen yang memiliki arah medan fluks sejajar dengan sumbu putar. Fluks tersebut merupakan hasil dari gaya tarik menarik antara dua buah magnet permanen yang memiliki kutub yang berbeda. Generator tipe ini cocok dipakai turbin angin dengan kecepatan angin kisaran 2-6 m/s atau putaran rendah yang sesuai karakter angin di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian adalah merancang dan menganalisa generator AFPMG yang berputar menggunakan angin kecepatan rendah dan dapat menghasilkan tenaga listrik untuk keperluan rumah tangga. Untuk mendapatkan daya output yang optimal, metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan 3 rotor dan 2 stator pada AFPMG. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa purwarupa turbin angin dapat menghasilkan tegangan 30,8 Volt pada kecepatan angin 3 m/s (200,4 rpm), dan menghasilkan tegangan 62,3 Volt pada kecepatan angin 6 m/s (401,2 rpm). Daya output generator yang dihasilkan pada beban dengan resistansi 23 ohm adalah 15,7 W pada 300 rpm dan 98,5 W pada 1.000 rpm. Nilai daya tersebut meningkat 62% dibanding penelitian sebelumnya menggunakan 1 stator dan 2 rotor.

ABSTRACT
Axial Flux Permanent Generator Magnet (AFPMG) is a permanent magnet generator that has
the direction of the flux field parallel to the rotary axis. The flux is the result of the attraction between
two permanent magnets that have different poles. This type of generator is suitable for use by wind
turbines with a wind speed range of 2-6 m / s or low speed that matches the wind character in
Indonesia. The aim of the study was to design and analyze AFPMG generators that rotate using low
speed winds and can generate electricity for domestic use. To get the optimal output power, the
method used is to use 3 rotors and 2 stators in AFPMG. The results showed that prototypes of wind
turbines can produce a voltage of 30.8 volts at wind speeds of 3 m / s (200.4 rpm), and produce a
voltage of 62.3 volts at wind speeds of 6 m / s (401.2 rpm). The output power of the generator
produced at a load with 23 ohms resistance is 15.7 W at 300 rpm and 98.5 W at 1,000 rpm. The
power value increased by 62% compared to previous studies using 1 stator and 2 rotors.

PENGARUH GAYA BELAJAR TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA PGSD UNIPA SURABAYA

Abstrak
Adanya perbedaan gaya belajar pada mahasiswa menjadikan tantangan tersendiri bagi dosen dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswanya. Jika dilihat, gaya belajar antara mahasiswa satu dengan mahasiswa lainnya tidak sama, ada gaya belajar audio, ada gaya belajar visual dan ada gaya belajar kinestetik. Dengan mengetahui gaya belajar masing-masing mahasiswa akan mempermudah dosen dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswanya. Untuk mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa, dosen harus memberikan kuesioner kepada mahasiswa. Untuk kuesioner gaya belajar dapat diadopsi dari DePorter. Untuk Kuesioner DePorter terdapat 36 pertanyaan dan terbagi menjadi tiga bagian. Bagian pertama untuk pertanyaan 1-12 mewakili gaya belajar visual. Bagian kedua, untuk pertanyaan 13-24 mewakili gaya belajar auditorial. Bagian ketiga untuk pertanyaan 25-36 mewakili gaya belajar kinestetik. Diharapkan setelah mahasiswa mengisi lembar kuesioner, dosen dapat dengan mudah mengetahui masing-masing gaya belajar mahasiswanya. Apakah mahasiswa yang diajarkannya mayoritas memiliki gaya belajar audio, atau gaya belajar visual dan gaya belajar kinestetik.

ABSTRAK
Kegiatan Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) setiap harinya akan menghasilkan limbah berupa feses, urine, isi rumen atau isi lambung, ceceran darah, air cucian, dan sisa pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengkaji pengaruh komposisi bahan baku limbah padat RPH pada kualitas produk pupuk organik, 2) Mengkaji kualitas produk pupuk organik yang dibandingkan dengan baku mutu sesuai Peraturan Menteri Pertanian No. 70 tahun 2011 tentang Pupuk Organik, Pupuk Hayati, dan Pembenahan Tanah. Proses pengomposan dilakukan selama 50 hari. Variabel komposisi bahan baku rumen sapi dan jerami adalah: RK1 (100% rumen sapi), R1 (60% rumen sapi:40% jerami), R2 (50% rumen sapi:50% jerami), dan R3 (40% rumen sapi:60% jerami). Penelitian dilakukan secara duplo, sehingga dibutuhkan 8 buah reaktor standing drum dengan volume 120 L. Berat bahan baku yang digunakan pada masing-masing reaktor yaitu sebesar 20 kg. Sampel pupuk organik diambil setiap 10 hari sekali, dengan parameter yang diuji adalah rasio C/N, hara makro P, K, nilai pH, dan suhu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi komposisi bahan baku berpengaruh pada kualitas pupuk organik yang dihasilkan. Variasi terbaik adalah reaktor R3 (40% rumen sapi:60% jerami) dengan hasil rasio C/N= 15,00; P= 8,35%; K= 9,72%, pH= 6,79; dan suhu= 33,70oC, memenuhi baku mutu sebagai pupuk organik.

ABSTRACT
Slaughterhouse (SH) activities is produced waste in the form of feces, urine, rumen contents or gastric contents, spilled blood, washing water, and leftover feed everyday. This study aims to: 1) Assess the effect of RPH solid waste composition on the quality of organic fertilizer products, 2) Assess organic fertilizer products quality compared to quality standards according to Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 70 year 2011 concerning Organic Fertilizers, Biofertilizers, and Soil Improvement. The composting process is carried out for 50 days. Variable composition of raw materials for cattle rumen and straw are: RK1 (100% cattle rumen), R1 (60% cattle rumen:40% rice straw), R2 (50% cattle rumen:50% rice straw), and R3 (40% cattle rumen:60% rice straw). The research was conducted in duplicate, so that 7 standing drum reactors were needed with a volume of 120 L. The weight of the raw material used in each reactor was 20 kg. Organic fertilizer samples are taken once every 10 days, with the parameters tested being the C/N ratio, macro nutrients P, K, pH value, and temperature. The results showed that variations in the composition of raw materials had an effect on the quality of the organic fertilizer produced. The best variation is R3 reactor (40% cattle rumen:60% rice straw) with a C/N ratio= 15.00 ratio; P = 8.35%; K = 9.72%, pH = 6.79; and temperature = 33.70oC, meet quality standards as organic fertilizer according to the Minister of Agriculture RegulationNo. 70 year 2011.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Web online terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa pada SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental. Desain yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan Pretest-posttest control group design. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa SMK Pariwisata di Surabaya. Sampel penelitian ini sejumlah 30 kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan pembelajaran web online dan jumlah 30 kelompok kontrol pembelajaran langsung. Data penelitian aktivitas belajar diperoleh setelah melakukan penilaian pada kelas eksperimen yaitu, dengan pembelajaran web online dan penilaian pada kelas kontrol, yaitu dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siswa yang dengan pembelajaran web online, lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan siswa yang hanya mendapatkan pembelajaran langsung.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of online Web learning on student learning activities at SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya. The design of this study uses the Quasi Experimental method. The design used was Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Pretest-posttest control group design. The population was all Tourism Vocational School students in Surabaya. The sample of this study was 30 experimental groups using online web learning and the number of 30 direct learning control groups. Data on learning activity research was obtained after making an assessment in the experimental class, that is, with online web learning and assessment in the control class, namely with the direct learning model. The results showed that student learning activities in students with online web learning were significantly higher than students who only received direct learning.
