Indonesian well, both orally and in writing, as well as foster an appreciation of the work of
Indonesian literature. This study described how the teaching of literature using socio-drama in converting texts resulted from observations into dialog texts in the Indonesian subjects at the high school level. The subjects were vocational high-school students of class X MM-2 SMK Antartika 2 Sidoarjo. The data were collected by using observation sheet, students’ learning outcomes, and questionnaire sheet. The data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this study were in the form of data of the observation sheets, of the students’ learning outcomes, and of the questionnaire sheet relating the use of socio-drama on the material of converting texts of the report observations into the dialog text.
