Given the current life that has become a sort of industry in all areas. including arts
and culture, it is necessary to further understanding of the visual arts and visual
culture. That understanding can also be acquired through formal education refers to
the visual arts and visual culture can actually be learned ill everyday life through a
variety of experiences. However, there: is a need to be considered further, that the
delivery of the theory of art in education suffer because of two contrasting
paradigms. Educational theory always put the prediction of learning outcomes to
obtain ‘something’ after learning ‘something’, whereas the theory of art prefers
‘taste’ in process ‘something’, to produce ‘something’, and cannot be predicted.
Therefore the necessary understanding of the contradictions of thinking for
teachers to study visual arteducation and visual culture that is very essential in
everyday life, as well as global and universal.
